“Run for your life!”
Steak was going to the Villa at noon, on AD79, August 24th. Because it was summer, it was burning hot. He was riding on his horse along the cobblestoned road. He could smell some delicious cheese on bread and he could touch his horses hard back. But then, his horse froze with an uneasy feeling. Steak was mad, so he dragged the horse to the Villa.
When they were almost there.... BOOM! The volcano erupted! Steak was frozen with fear. He saw some stones coming out of the volcano. He was scared because the rocks were burning hot. He heard another explosion, so he and his horse bolted out of the town.
Now he was safe, but with no money and no food. Steak was thinking, “My money!” and the horse was thinking, “My favorite lunch!”
When he went back to Pompeii after one year, Steak thought, “I could get my things back now!” but he was shocked. There were nothing but ash and rocks, “Wow! A volcanic explosion is scarier than I thought!”
